Randonnée de l'Alliance "Premiere" (hike) with George Rice

The Alliance is pleased to announce a new activity, "Les Randonnees de l'Alliance" to be held one Sunday morning each month

The first randonnee will be Sunday, April 27 with a rendez vous at 9am.  The format will be a hike of two to three hours.  Each participant will bring their own picnic and water, and we will have a designated point for the group to gather for a picnic along the way.  This will be an opportunity to speak French and see some of San Diego's finest sites..

Our first destination will be Cowles Mountain in Mission Trails Regional Park, which is located about 20 minutes from downtown San Diego (a few miles north and east of the intersection of Interstate 8 and Interstate 15).  Cowles Mountain is one of the most popular hikes in San Diego County.  The hike is about three miles round trip and should take about 2 hours.  The trail ascends the mountain with unobstructed views on the way up and splendid views at the top.  Dogs are permitted on the trail, and the hike is described as good for children.

The activity will be free of charge to Alliance Members, but we ask that non-members make a donation of at least $5 to the Alliance.

If you are interested in attending, please contact activities@afsandiego.org

As we get closer to the date, specific details and directions will be circulated to the participants.
