Private classes
We offer private French lessons and tutoring, tailored to each student’s level and goals. Private classes can be held in person at the Alliance Française San Diego, at your home, or online.

Private lessons are ideal for those with specific objectives, allowing you to focus on conversational, professional, or written French.

When you sign up for private lessons, we’ll work with you to assess your level, set your goals, discuss your availability, and gather any other details to match you with one of our highly skilled teachers.
We assist students preparing for a move to France, studying at French universities, or simply planning a trip. As a certified center for French language certifications, AFSD offers private lessons that are an excellent way to prepare for standardized tests such as the DALF, DELF, and TCF.

We offer semi-private classes for up to 3 students, which can be a great option if you have several students in your household or want to meet with some friends around a French class (more below).

Other Fees: Membership in the Alliance Francaise is required for all AF students which gives you access to all our benefits for members.

Private classes are online or in-person, with a fee of $15 for each class to reimburse the trip to the teacher when in person at your home. Books may be required depending on your objectives.
Semi-private French classes are also available and reduce the cost of the classes.
